PUBLIC TRANSPORT
InterCity Bus operates a daily bus service: Invercargill to Gore (departing 8.25am) and Gore to Invercargill (departing 5.30pm). Unfortunately Gore does not have a public transport network.

For the ten days of Tussock Country, Uncle Simon - quite literally an uncle to many - will be volunteering his time behind the wheel. He’ll be running a comfortable shuttle van between Gore and key southern airports (Invercargill and Queenstown), making it easier for festival-goers, artists and crew to get to the action.

SCHEDULE 

• Operating daily over the full ten days of Tussock Country May 22nd  - June 1st 2026.

• Pre-booked trips preferred; limited on-the-day spaces available.

• Timings coordinated around arriving and departing flights where possible.

FEES & PAYMENT
All fares are by way of donation to the NZ Country Music Festival Trust. Your donation covers the on-road vehicle costs of this service only.

• Invercargill Airport ↔ Gore Suggested donation: $40 one way per person

• Queenstown Airport ↔ Gore Suggested donation: $50 one way per person

You'll be provided with the online donation portal once your booking is confirmed. Payment by credit card only. ​

Should you need to cancel this service, no refunds will be given.
