MITCHELL
Ron, Jenny, Maegan and Nicola Mitchell present a one-night-only full band show featuring songs of Mitchell albums past and present and guest appearances from very special friends.
Ron Mitchell is a Gore farmer, Tui nominee, three-time MLT NZ Songwriting Award finalist and proud Dad. He is described by NZ Musician as an artist with "both cowboy boots planted firmly on the honky tonk stage,” and has a whole new album of music to share in 2025. Ron’s love of country music and honest storytelling has started Jenny, Maegan and Nicola’s life-long passion for music.
At just 14, Jenny was placed 3rd on NZ’s Got Talent before releasing her first album ‘The Old Oak’ which celebrates it’s 10th anniversary in May 2025. Since her first album, Jenny has won an Aotearoa Music Award for Best Country Artist, received 2 x Australian Golden Guitar nominations and will be taking a break from a 30 date Australian Tour with the iconic Kasey Chambers, to play this special MITCHELL show in Gore.
Often found on the road with big sis, The Mitchell Twins are an award-winning duo known for their blood harmonies and connection to te ao Māori. Their debut EP was produced by none other than Tami Neilson and featured the powerful 2023 APRA Best Country Song finalist; Find a River.
Whether you're a long time fan or discovering their music for the first time, MITCHELL is sure to be a highlight of the 2025 Bayleys Tussock Country Festival.
